# Your data

> Kept separate, never used to train AI, and yours to take or delete.

## We don't train AI on your data

Your information is used for one thing only: answering your own customers.

## It's kept safe

Your data is encrypted (turned into a code that can't be read without the key) and stored securely. It's kept completely separate from other businesses.

## Take it with you

You can download your customers and conversations at any time. Owners and admins can do this.

**1. Open Data & privacy**

Go to [**Settings → Data &
privacy**](https://baza.chat/dashboard/settings?tab=data).

**2. Choose an export**

Under **Export your data**, press the export you want. The file downloads
straight away.

## What is in each export

There are two kinds of file:

* **CSV** is a spreadsheet file. It opens in Excel or Google Sheets.
* **JSON** is one file with a full copy of everything. Use it to keep a backup, or to move your data to another system.

## Delete it

You can delete one customer, or your whole business. If you delete your business, we can bring it back for 30 days if you ask us.

A customer who wants their own chats deleted can ask you. They can also email [hello@baza.chat](mailto:hello@baza.chat) with your business's name and the phone number or username they wrote from.

## What deleting does

When you delete your business:

* Your assistant stops answering on every channel.
* The business disappears from your team's dashboards straight away.
* For 30 days, you can contact us to bring it back.
* After 30 days, its customers, conversations, knowledge and files are erased for good.
* Invoices are kept, because the law requires it.

Only an owner can delete a business.

**1. Open Data & privacy**

Go to [**Settings → Data &
privacy**](https://baza.chat/dashboard/settings?tab=data).

**2. Start the deletion**

Press **Delete this business**.

**3. Confirm**

Type your page address as shown, then press **Delete business**.
